When Maya moved into her small apartment in the city, she didn’t expect to find peace. Surrounded by traffic and noise, she missed the quiet of the countryside. But one morning, while exploring the building’s top floor, she discovered a hidden rooftop garden. It was modest, with a few wooden benches and several pots of herbs and flowers. The garden belonged to Mr. Alvarez, an elderly man who had lived in the building for over thirty years. He welcomed Maya warmly and told her she was free to visit anytime. Grateful for the offer, Maya began spending her evenings there, reading or simply watching the sunset behind the skyline.
